Introducing the CIVITTA Finland team: Henri Passila, Director

Henri started at CIVITTA Finland at the start of 2019 and since then he has been “the engineer” of the team – a role, which he openly accepts being an alumnus of the Industrial Engineering and Management at Aalto University of Science. With over eight years of experience in management consulting and business development, Henri still to this day continues to find things to improve and projects to manage towards real change. Whether the task at hand is related to finding new strategic targets, prioritizing actions, or developing new business, Henri is ready to push the envelope towards actionable change rather than a pile of slides. Inspired by the depth of CIVITTA in other countries and the opportunities created by developing technologies, preferences and ecosystems around us, Henri continues to contribute to the fight to make companies and society better and more resilient.

Henri has experience in three different Finnish consulting firms in addition to working in Nokia Technologies. Henri’s key strengths are new business development, growth strategy, technology-related business and developing commercial and process capabilities. Henri has experience in multiple industries, out of which most notable are circular economy, renewable energy, financial services, business technology, and media.

Outside of work, Henri is avid ice hockey and football fan, but he mostly plays padel. Henri also loves to travel and learn about new cultures when he is not hiking in the Finnish forests. He has also shown his skills as a solid cook, as evidenced in the office’s three-year birthday party in a cottage near Lohja.

Henri solemnly believes that for every challenge, there is an optimal path and by understanding fully and openly what the current situation is, you can start bridging the gap towards this path. He is driven by honest discussions, high ambitions, and a “can-do” attitude.
